Englebert Humperdinck tribute show at the Blakehay

Pete brought his Bert Reynolds is Englebert Humperdinck & Friends tribute to the Blakehay Theatre on 19 July, a date rescheduled from its original March slot. Backed by a live band, he drew on more than two decades of experience to work through the Humperdinck songbook — 'Please Release Me', 'Les Bicyclettes de Belsize', 'Ten Guitars', and 'The Last Waltz' — in a show the Weston Mercury previewed as an evening built around his "rich-sounding, velvet voice." It's the latest outing for a performer whose credits include sharing the stage with Billy Jo Spears, Jethro, and The Barron Knights.
